ARrow Rojas, MA, R-DMT, LPCc
My therapeutic approach combines my training in Somatic Psychotherapy, trauma informed and evidence based practices, Attachment centered wilderness therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, mindfulness, and active imagination practices of Jungian psychology such as guided imagery meditations and Authentic Movement. I graduated from Naropa University with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Somatic Counseling: Dance/Movement Therapy.
My work is centered around the sacred, cathartic, and restorative process of embodied creativity in and with the natural world. Developing an intimate relationship with our internal and external wilderness can play a pivotal role in healing the rupture between our minds and bodies and ultimately act as a mirror to our inherent resilience and wisdom. My identities as an artist and a social/environmental justice advocate collaborate to hold sacred and therapeutic space for rites of passage processes through addiction recovery, trauma processing, death/loss, gender and sociocultural identity development, and so many other mundane or pivotal life cycles.
