Individual Therapy

I work with adults 18 years on up.

I specialize in working with addiction, and have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, trauma and individuals in transition (divorce/marriage, entering/leaving college, prenatal/postnatal experiences, parenthood, grief/loss, etc,.) I am passionate about meeting people where they’re at, addressing the profound uncertainty of life, and finding depth and meaning to your unique story.

I genuinely enjoy working with young adults navigating the challenges of college as well as individuals who have chosen a non-academic path. I also work well with any adult searching for support in these turbulent times.

I am focused on building awareness of layers and patterns that hold people back, and orienting people to their innate healing intelligence. It’s a process of unfolding in which both the therapist and client work to find the heart of the issue. I incorporate evidence-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness into the therapeutic process to create a full and holistic experience. My view is that this holistic approach enables people to make changes on a deeper and more sustainable level.

Group Therapy

I love group. It is often said that people go to individual therapy to learn how to be in groups. What I mean is that group is a more intense way to relate to oneself by relating to others, and not just the sole therapist. Isolation is rampant in our current culture and group therapy offers connection and a unique growth experience. By engaging the interpersonal one can dive much deeper into their attachment styles; desires, wants, fears, and aggressions; increasing opportunities to remain connected to oneself while being in relationship with another.

Group is a deeper form of healing. While it’s not easy, it’s certainly valuable.

My groups are focused on interpersonal process and addiction recovery. My wish for individuals attending group is that they build interpersonal awareness, learn to be more fearless, and change patterns and behaviors that create disconnection. I want all my clients to find ways to connect and engage relationships with more dignity, authenticity and skill.
